The management of this leading leisure and fitness group required a new facility which achieved high standards, maximised the use of space and daylight, with low energy consumption and running costs. The new building is based on a series of terraced rectangular floor plates. Maximum natural lighting is achieved by a frameless glass wall to the pool, extensive high-level strip glazing and a broad skylight in the curved roof. A restaurant at the ground floor level provides panoramic view of the facility.

External finishes were chosen for durability, economy and ease of constructions and included "Trespa" panelling. Westpark Fitness Centre was selected as a finalist in the prestigious Retail and Leisure Property Awards in 2005.

The project included a swimming pool, athletics club pavilion, changing rooms, basement and surface car parking. Construction was carried out under the RIAI Form of Contract. The project demonstrates the ability of P. Elliott & Company to deliver a state of the art leisure facility to a high standard on time & within budget.
