P. Elliott & Company won the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Riverside II design and build competition in February 2004. This was secured by the Riverside 2 Joint Venture Partnership from the Dublin Docklands Development Authority, following an open bid procedure.
The entire of the 8,200 sq m waterfront office building in this development, was let prior to completion and is occupied by Beauchamps, Solicitors and PFPC International Ltd. This building encompasses best practice of office design in terms of space, flexibility, environmental responsibility, energy usage and disabled access while presenting an elegant building to contribute positively to the context of the area and river frontage.
The residential content of the scheme (Forbes Quay) comprises 124 apartments and completes a 'perimeter' style development. A semi-private, heavily landscaped park is provided to the centre of the scheme with restricted office access.
This project demonstrates the resources and ability of P. Elliott & Company to design, build and finance a landmark building in a prestigious riverside environment.
