Laragy Secondary Schoolin Clones, Co Monaghan was completed by P. Elliott & Company in December 2002 and is an example of our experience and involvement in Public Private Partnership arrangements. This development was part of the first major national PPP initiative under the aegis of the Department of Education. The project consisted of six secondary schools and the Cork School of Music.
Prior to being selected we had to work with Jarvis in developing the design from the concept stage right through to working design. This project provided us with even further experience in the PPP process and we relished the challenge of being successful in it. We delivered the completed project two weeks ahead of target and, on December 20th 2002 the Jarvis Group wrote to us as follows:
"We would like to think you and all of our team for an outstanding performance on the delivery of Clones school. We were on site yesterday to hand over the school to the Principal and the VEC and the quality and finishes in the school are excellent. They, as well as ourselves, are absolutely delighted with the new school. Here's to many more projects under PPP and we look forward to winning more of the projects with you in 2003."
We were delighted to receive the above acknowledgement from the Development Director of the Jarvis Group and we feel it reflects our experience in this type of project where design initiatives, quality of finish, strict time constraints and strict budgetary requirements - are all key to a successful conclusion.
