Concession for the design, construction, finance, and operation of a new public acute hospital; total area 62,000 square metres, with associated key workers' accommodation of 4,000 square metres.
Included are associated external works, car parking, and ground reclamation.
The scheme is designed as a concrete frame over four levels, linked by internal glazed atria. It comprises three blocks over four levels.
It will provide 300 no. en-suite public beds with associated support facilities including five operating theatres, and pathology laboratories. The full range of health treatments including paediatric care, I.C.U. A&E, will be provided.
Prior to construction, P. Elliott completed a substantial land reclamation / stabilisation package to ready the site for the hospital construction. The scheme is designed to achieve an energy rating of 50GJ / 100m³, and an Excellent NEAT rating.
